Nerenda Eid is an autodidactic third culture kid who grew up on three continents with three religions and neither parent. She has parlayed her unconventional background into a career as a producer of narrative films, branded content and singular experiences for the likes of YSL Beauty, Moncler, The Recording Academy, Yeezy and The Guggenheim.
Her current film project, The Untitled Underground Railroad Ride Project, a documentary following five Black and Latinx cyclists as they travel through the Deep South on a route inspired by the Underground Railroad, has been supported by ITVS, Black Public Media, as well as Working Films and is currently in post-production.
Through her production company, Nereid Inc., she is also developing a dramatic series set in 14th century West Africa and has a burgeoning conceptual art practice exploring gender and religion through a temporal lens.
Living and working between New York City and Los Angeles, she’s the mother of an adult child who works in the industry as well.
